2022 Merlot
The 2022 Merlot is our most fruit-forward red wine. It's fleshier than your standard merlot, soft in texture with faint oak. Aged for 20 months in French & American Oak, notes of black cherry are pronounced on the nose along with light aromas of baker’s chocolate, spice, and vanilla. Dry, medium-bodied and smooth with mellow tannins and moderate acidity, the Eastwood Merlot has won three gold medals and continues to be a crowd favorite for fans of a medium-bodied red wine with moderate tannins.
The Eastwood 2022 Merlot pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, grilled vegetables, and hearty pasta dishes. With fruit-forward notes, it is a great red to enjoy all summer!
In the tasting room, enjoy a glass of the 2022 Merlot with Chef Andrew Partridge’s Charcuterie Board, which includes a colorful and delicious arrangement of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and flavorful accompaniments including fig jam, olives, and apricots and served with fresh crusty crostinis from Albemarle Baking Company.
