Aged for 21 months in French & American Oak, notes of black and red fruits like black cherry are pronounced on the nose along with notes of baker’s chocolate, spice, and vanilla. Dry, medium-bodied and smooth with mellow tannins and moderate acidity, this is our most fruit-forward red wine. It’s fleshier than your standard Merlot, soft in texture with faint oak.
Enjoy a glass of Merlot at Eastwood with the Chef’s Charcuterie Board - packed with meats and cheeses, fig jam, olives, and apricots or enjoy a bottle at home. It pairs great with grilled hamburgers, pork chops and roasted potatoes, mushroom or bolognese pastas, and more.
The Eastwood Merlot was awarded a gold medal in the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition and a gold medal in the 2022 Virginia Governor’s Cup.
